France is the most visited country in the world

France is an attractive country, filled up to the brim with amazing wines, tasty cheese, and also lots of love. So it is not a surprise that more and more people intend to check out France compared to any other nation worldwide!

In 2018, France welcomed 88 million people. Spain was the second-most popular destination with 82 million visitors, followed by the United States (77 million), China (61 million), and Italy (59 million). Did you expect this?

There’s only one country in the world that doesn’t use the metric system

We all thought at least once why we do not all use the same measurement metric to make life easier. I mean, some countries have inches when others have cm’s. Some countries have miles, other have km’s and what else!

But thank God, most of the more than 200 countries in the world use the metric system when describing things like length or mass. However, there are three countries that do not: Liberia, Myanmar, and the United States…

Wait, no. there used to be three. Now, as the title says, there is only one!

In 2018, Liberia industry minister said the government planned to adopt the metric system in order to promote accountability and transparency. Myanmar made a similar commitment, which leaves the U.S. as the only country left. Will they switch to the metric system too? We hope so.

With around 950 million native speakers, Mandarin Chinese the most spoken language in the world. Yes, China itself has over 1 billion habitants so that is no surprise!
